The Vagrants

that means saying goodbye to The Keller Bar, and hello to

Murrmel Bar in St. Anton am Arlberg.

Next winter The Vagrants are moving their high-energy acoustic show to Murrmel. These guys have proved their commitment to live music in St. Anton, and have decided to increase the amount of live music next season. Musicians will be playing constantly from 5pm until 2am, upstairs, downstairs, and anywhere we can fit! The downstairs bar is being redesigned to help accommodate this increase.

A big thanks goes to Christian Cordin, who owns the Keller Bar. He has been very good to The Vagrants, Steve and Renate Iorio, and all the Keller Bar staff there over the years. Playing in the Keller bar for The Vagrants was a start to do something, which was not available anywhere else, a full band playing

rock music, and blues in St. Anton.

He took a chance on us, and we turned a quiet bar into a busy bar. So our thanks to him for giving us that chance, being patient, understanding, for being a music lover, a great boss, nice guy and after 8 years, a really good friend.

The Vagrants have recently been seen a rock band playing original compositions for the last 10 years. The core of the band, Renate and Steve Iorio, have been playing together for 20 years, and started doing acoustic duo work, then slowly added, one by one, drums, bass, another guitar, keys, horns, flute, backing singers, a violin player and have evolved over many years. They did shows with 14 musicians on stage at one point. The Vagrants in the winter of 2016/17 will go back to their roots, and will be playing as a duet in the Murrmel Bar.

The hard part is giving a musical genre definition to the band. Journeymen musicians always progress and continue to explore.

The Vagrants have done rock, slow acoustic, blues, metal, swing jazz, reggae, country and funk

and all these styles have all played a part in the original music they wrote and recorded on their 4 CD’s. This season in Murrmel will be an après-ski show that will include all genres. The Vagrants will be doing an acoustic duet, that includes Renate and Steve playing sax, keys, guitar and singing, maybe even a bit of loops, and drum machine to keep everyone up and dancing.

The next stage in The Vagrants evolution will be the new show at Murrmel. Make sure you bring an open mind, a smile, and a thirst for music and a party. Max will be there, as he always seems to be, making sure everyone gets what they want from behind the bar, and we will make sure you have a great time on your side of the bar.

. Nächsten Winter wandern die Vagrants mit ihrer High Energy Akustik Show in die Murrmel, welche ihr Engagement für Live Musik in St Anton bewiesen hat und nun noch mehr Live Musik im kommenden Winter anbietet. Live Musik Acts von 5 Uhr nachmittags bis 2 Uhr früh in der Bar und im Club. Um die Show noch besser zu machen, wird dafür auch der Club neu gestaltet.

Ein großer Dank geht an Christian Cordin, der Besitzer der Kellerbar. Im Laufe der Jahre ist er uns, den Vagrants, Steve und Renate Iorio sowie den Mitarbeitern der Kellerbar, besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit zur Seite gestanden. In der Kellerbar zu spielen, war für die Vagrants der Anfang von Etwas ganz Neuem, was nirgendwo anders möglich war. eine Band,

die Rockmusik und Blues in St. Anton spielte.

Christian riskierte und aus einer ruhigen Bar machten wir einen Laden der bekannt war im Ort! So geht unser herzlicher Dank an ihn, dass er uns diese Chance gegeben hat, für seine Geduld, sein Verständnis, sowie seine Liebe zur Musik. Ein guter Chef und nach acht Jahren ein wirklich guter Freund.

In den letzten zehn Jahren wurden die Vagrants als eine Rockband gesehen, die Originalkompositionen spielte. Der Kern der Band, Renate und Steve Iorio, spielen bereits seit zwanzig Jahren zusammen. Sie haben als Akustik Duo begonnen, und langsam Schlagzeug, Bass, eine zweite Gitarre, Keybord, Horn, Flöte, Backgroundsänger, und um eine Geige erweitert und damit Ihr Repertoire über die Jahre weiterentwickelt. Bisheriger Höhepunkt war eine Show mit vierzehn Musikern auf der Bühne. Die Vagrants werden im Winter 2016/17 zurück zu ihren Wurzeln gehen und als Duo in der Murrmel Bar spielen.

Es ist schwierig ein Genre für die Band zu definieren. Tour Musiker machen immer Fortschritte und versuchen sich weiter zu entwickeln.

Die Vagrants haben Rock, Slow Akustik, Blues, Metal, Swing, Jazz, Reggae, Country und Funk gespielt.

All diese Musikstile spielten eine Rolle in der Originalmusik, die sie geschrieben und auf ihren vier LP‘s aufgenommen haben. Dieses Saison im Murrmel wird es eine Apres Ski Show sein, die alle Genres enthält. Die Vagrants spielen als Akustik Duo Saxophon, Keyboard, Gitarre, eventuell auch Loops und ein Drummaschine, wir werden sehen…

Der nächste Schritt der Vagrants wird ihre neue Show im Murrmel. Gut vorbereitet wärt Ihr mit einem Lächeln und Durst an Musik und Party. Max wird da sein, was er ohnehin immer zu sein scheint, und wir werden alles geben, euch richtig einzuheizen! Danke und auf Wiedersehen oder Hallo
